Church Alive College


Church Alive College is a ministry based out of Church Alive that exists to empower you in your biblical knowledge and real-life application of scripture, in both personal and leadership roles. We are a growing, non-accredited institution that seeks to provide all students with an engaging, bible-based education. Currently, we offer two separate certificate programs that can be taken apart or concurrently.

CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS

We offer a certificate of Education from Church Alive College with a concentration in  Biblical  Studies or Christian Leadership. The program requires the successful completion of 12 credit hours. Students are to complete 6 credits in required core courses. The additional 6 credits are to be completed by selecting electives courses.  

  • Bible Interpretation (BST-01) - This course equips you to study and correctly handle the word of God. We aim to highlight the importance of soundly interpreting scripture and to explore the various interpretative principles, methods and tools available to us.

    Leading Yourself (CL-01) - This course covers the essentials of leadership. Join us as we explore the call of leadership, casting a vision, living a victorious and overcoming life, leading with the heart of a shepherd, relating to others, and much more.

    Leading Others (CL-02)  – This course covers the key leadership topics of team building, people skills, organization and so much more.

  • Electives may include, but are not limited to the following.

    Biblical studies electives:

    Book of Romans (BST-02) - This course is a study of the book of Romans. We take you through the themes of redemption, the guilt of humanity, our inability to earn favor with God, the death of Christ, the free gift of salvation, living in victory over sin, and much more.

    New Testament Survey 1  (BST-03) - This course explores the non-Pauline epistles. For each epistle, the module will cover areas like socio-cultural & historical context, as well as authorial intent & purpose as well as key themes.

    New Testament Survey 2  (BST-04) - This course provides an overview of the Pauline epistolary corpus. Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Ephesians, and Galatians. There will be some detailed analysis, application to everyday living, and guidelines for further studying in the New Testament.

    Old Testament Survey 1 (BST-05) - This course has sessions ranging from creation through to the historical stages. Students will learn what happened historically, how Christ is pictured in the Old Testament, and how students can apply teachings to their own lives.

    Old Testament Survey 2 (BST-06) - This course continues our odyssey from Old Testament Survey 1. It contains 8 sessions spanning the United Kingdom Stage through to the Return Stage. You will learn the history of Israel & the role of the typology of Christ in the scriptures.

    Christian Leadership Electives:

    Christian Ethics and Morality (CL-03) - This course introduces you to a biblical worldview regarding ethical thought and practice. These sessions explore 4 ethical systems; approaches for making sound ethical decisions and work through a wide range of real-world case studies.

    Kingdom Relationships (CL-04)    In this course, you will have the opportunity to hear from different speakers on key topics pertaining to a dynamic range of interpersonal relationships & contexts.

    Pastoral Care (CL-05) - This course explores the role and function of pastoring in the life of the local church. You will look at biblical wisdom and practical insights from a range of seasoned local-church ministers.

    Advanced Discipleship Principles (CL-06) - In this course you'll learn how to journey in maturity with God. The course will take through the different stages of growth & discipleship you'll encounter in your walk with God.

  • The cost per course is $75.

  • Semesters run for 10 weeks. A single, 2-credit hour course includes approximately 1.5 hours in the classroom weekly and on average, between 2-3 hours of homework/application per week.

  • The school calendar is structured according to a semester system. Church Alive College operates with 10-week semesters and each calendar year will typically have 3 semesters. Semesters will generally run as follows: Spring (February through March), Summer (May through July), and Fall (September-November). Church Alive College will typically post the following academic year’s calendar in the fourth quarter of the preceding year.

  • The school calendar is structured according to a semester system. Church Alive College operates with 10-week semesters and each calendar year will typically have 3 semesters. Semesters will generally run as follows: Spring (February through March), Summer (May through July), and Fall (September-November). Church Alive College will typically post the following academic year’s calendar in the fourth quarter of the preceding year.

  • If the student wishes to withdraw themselves from the course, they may do so by informing the College’s Administrator at studentsupport@churchalive.tv. Refer to the chart below for Church Alive College’s Refund Policy. Any additional questions pertaining to the college’s refund policy may be addressed to the College Administrator.
